Craigatin

Dear All,

Welcome to the Spring 2014 Craigatin House & Courtyard Newsletter.

The 2014 Pitlochry season is now well underway and we have been blessed with some fantastic warm weather, Easter in particular was exceptional!

We have been hard at work over the past months getting Craigatin shipshape for the summer, check out our updates in this newsletter on our room and building refurbishments. We've also been lucky enough to pick up an award and pass a great Tripadvisor landmark too.

The Etape Cycle race and Blair Atholl Highland Games are just two of the big events taking place this month. We are particularly excited about The Queen’s Baton Relay for the Commonwealth Games which comes to Pitlochry on the 4th of July. The relay starts right outside Craigatin House!! Pictures to follow later this year!

We’ve also recently announced some December opening dates to coincide with the Pitlochry Festival Theatres Christmas show, Miracle of 34th Street.

So all in all its set to be another great year for Pitlochry and Scotland as a whole! We’ll be on the Worlds stage this summer with The Commonwealth Games and The Ryder Cup, and then the people of Scotland will be making one of the country's biggest ever decisions with the Independence Referendum on 18th September, what a year its going to be!

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Best wishes,
Martin and Andrea

Craigatin House Refurbishments
Craigatin House Refurbishments

All our winter decorating refurbishments were completed just before Easter, with six of our rooms getting a full makeover and some with new furniture too.

The external painting of our Courtyard has taken a little longer due to the weather. However, we’ve now got three resident painters hard at work so this'll hopefully be finished soon.

The Enchanted Forest

The Enchanted Forest makes a welcome return to Pitlochry in 2014 from the 3rd to the 26th October.

40,000 people made a trip to Pitlochry in 2013 to see this magical light and sound show in Faskally Woods. Tickets for the 2014 event go on sale in June and always sell very well. Autumn is a superb time to visit Highland Perthshire, with settled weather (hopefully) and clear crisp days with the beautiful golden amber colours. So why not pay us a visit this autumn?
