Pitlochry Festival TheatreLocated in Pitlochry and founded in 1951, the Pitlochry Festival Theatre is one of the finest attractions in the local area.

Known as 'Scotland's Theatre in the Hills' - Pitlochry Theatre shows a wide selection of plays ranging from farce and comedy to tragedy, catering for appreciative audiences which return every year to enjoy this theatre's special strengths. In addition to performances in the main auditorium the main season also features regular Foyer events, Concerts, Art and Craft demonstrations and pre-performance entertainment. And there is now a winter season programme.

Welcome to the 2015 Summer Season at the Theatre in the Hills! From Sondheim to Somerset Maugham, Ayckbourn to Wilde and David Greig to Alan Bennett, the 2015 season showcases the work of some of the finest ever creators of theatre! Once again the Pitlochry Festival Theatre has pulled together six fantastic shows for your enjoyment, creating yet another exciting, engaging and entertaining season.

The 2015 Summer line up of six shows (Stay Six Days, See Six Plays) is headlined by the wonderful Stephen Sondheim musical “A Little Night Music” along with the following five equally spectacular productions: The Importance of Being Earnest, Improbable Fiction, Home and Beauty, Pyrenees and The Lady in the Van.

In addition to the six shows, there will be the usual Summer season events of Sunday Concerts, Active Arts Workshops, Master Classes, Tours and Talks!
